COVID-19 Precautions: We are open again! We wanted to share with you the measures we have taken to ensure your peace of mind.
At McCulloch-Wilson Dental, we’re not just dental practitioners. Each of us are members of a team, family, and community, and we want to strengthen the health of ourselves and one another not just so we can live life with fewer stressors, but because making as positive an impact as possible is important to us. We seek to accomplish this by increasing awareness of the oral-systemic link and preventive methods, and providing the kind of comprehensive, compassionate care you and your family deserve.
Our general dentistry services are prevention-focused. Your routine visits are a good chance for us to get familiar with you, your oral hygiene habits, medical history, and provide you with the tools you need to build a strong defense against infection and disease. We also perform bacterial screenings to determine whether you’re at a higher risk of developing periodontal disease, which is associated with 52 other potentially life-threatening illnesses, and oral cancer screenings at each visit so that if we see any abnormalities, we can act quickly.
If you’ve experienced decay or disease, whether it’s in a beginning stage or you’re in need of replacement options, we want you to know that you’re not alone and you’re deserving of compassionate dental care. We didn’t become dental professionals because we thought each smile seated in our chair would be pristine, but because we want to offer different experiences at the dentist and show people their smile and health can be transformed for the better, too. From tooth-colored fillings to multiple dental implant options, your needs can be met and your hopes exceeded.
We can’t mention smile transformations without touching on cosmetic dentistry! Though many people may write it off as a luxury, cosmetic dentistry treatments are not only more accessible today than ever before, but their effects on your confidence are hard to overstate. If you find yourself comparing your smile to others’, hiding it behind your hand, or keeping your lips sealed when cameras come out, you know what a damper it can have on your social interactions. We think you deserve a smile you’re proud to share and would love to customize a plan just for you.
Recognizing oral health as an essential part of overall wellness means that we treat people, not just the condition of their mouths. Our examinations don’t begin and end with your teeth; we also note how your jaw is functioning and the quality of your sleep. If you experience TMJ disorder, we can help by providing a comfortable, custom-fit nightguard that prevents nighttime grinding and clenching. If you or a loved one sleep poorly because of chronic snoring due to obstructive sleep apnea, you may experience relief with oral appliance therapy instead of a CPAP machine. We can also help you face your dental fears with safe sedation options.
Dental emergencies highlight how closely tied oral health is to overall wellness. If you’ve ever experienced oral pain, you probably know it can reach excruciating levels that don’t allow you to go about your life the way you would with a pain-free smile. If you or a loved one have experienced trauma that’s knocked a tooth loose or fully out, are feeling pain, or notice swelling and redness, it’s important to act fast. Delaying the care you need can cause infection (and pain) to spread, or result in permanent tooth loss. We are on-call after hours and leave openings in our schedules to accommodate emergencies, so don’t hesitate to contact us!
